Coming Soon and WIP (work in progress) Report

May 24, 2019

First, I'd like to say thank you for your support of The QB Connection. I appreciate that more than you will ever believe.

Okay, so now on to the update of what I'm doing right now. And what to expect.

Well, for the nine million people who keep asking for the next Scrimmage book... The answer is not for a very long time. I'm not mentally ready to tackle Levi's final story. One day. I hope. And no, I will not apologize, not ever again. When it happens it happens, if it doesn't, then he had a happy ever after and that's all I can say about it.

So, now, on to what I'm really doing.

I'm starting a new blog, a non-book blog. About writing and not writing and the stuff that amuses me, the real me, not the pen name me. The real me has been lost for a very long time and needs to remember that I have a real name and that it's not all about selling books.

Ah, you're interested in any future Mercy books or you wouldn't be reading this.

I'd said QB would likely be my last book. I meant it. Sort of. I'm trying to keep from drowning in this business. And right now I'm barely keeping my head above water. Writing no longer pays the bills.

That said, I wrote a book last year, long hand, in pencil in two notebooks, when my arthritic left hand couldn't handle typing. I am now working to transcribe that book to WORD. I figure, at the pace I'm going, it'll be the end of July before I have the book finished. It's the third book in the Adventures, INK! series.

And while I'm doing that, I've been writing a new football book, not set in New Orleans. I'm about fifty thousand words into the first draft now. If I finish it, it will be July before I can afford to buy a cover for it. So again, the end of July is a possibility.

I'll decide which one will go first and which one will go last.

I have a half-hearted attempt at a MM contemporary Christmas story. I should get to that soon or end up trying to finish it on Christmas Eve.

But... eh, it's hard to write Christmas when it's 90 degrees in the shade outside.

Hope you all have a lovely June. I'll update you in July.

Oh and visit my new blog, if I ever get it set up correctly, over at THE WRITE LIFE Give me a follow, if I ever find the follow button to get it on there.
